Toastify

New Post: toastify.exe has encountered a problem..

After formatting my XP SP3 I installed spotify along with toastify, but whenever I start toastify I get the following error. I have installed almost every .NET Framework version (including 3.5) but to no avail. I'm using the latest version of toastify (1.5). Any advice would be appreciated!

Toastify is good but in my opinion, it's missing something. I'd like to have a more detailed setting for outputting now playing info. Like how artist, song title and album is showed. And maybe get rid of that awful long dash. And secondly, can you have automatic sending like AMIP has? With one hotkey it will send it with Enter or Ctrl+Enter if necessary. With these improvements I'll like Toastify even more.

My english is not perfect, I hope you understand what I'm talking about here.

There seems to be a problem when using the hotkeys and Spotify is alrady in focus. After that, it seems to fire the event for the pressed hotkeys multiple times, no matter where you use the hotkey.

As per report from jalude55:

Changed ActionHookCallback after creating a public static Boolean called IsProcessing in the hotkey class. It would skip more than one track when skipping tracks. This seems to work a lot better for me although i'm sure this is a much better way to solve this issue.

Allow HotKeys to be selectively disabled from the Settings window. To allow this the following changes were made: * a new Enabled property was added to HotKey.cs * the old _enabled member variable is now _active * Enable() / Disable() calls are now Activate() / Deactivate() ** we need this double mechanism to allow for showing user intent (Enabled) as well as system state (_active) Settings UI now has checkboxes next to each entry in the list

removed unneeded attribute [assembly: AssemblyFileVersion("1.5.*")] which was causing build warnings (due to auto-increment). msbuild will now just use the AssemblyVersion.

I just made the below checkin. Please let me know if this doesn't solve the issue for you - at this point I can't repro it exactly on any of my machines (single taps only advance single songs), but this should still solve the issue according to your description. You can find the diff of the change at http://toastify.codeplex.com/SourceControl/changeset/changes/69336#Toastify%2fToast.xaml.cs.

BUG 9421: Added a buffer between hotkey processing during which time repeated hotkey presses will be ignored. This is currently set to 150ms. For accessibility (if there is a need) we could modify this slightly in the future to read from Settings and to support a setting that disallowed continuous press on a hotkey.
